Well we are onto the next room.
The ensuite bathroom. Curently it has some fetching pink tiles with pretty flowers and a stunning pink toilet and sink.
The piece de resistance though is the shower. Wow. We were reliably informed that it worked when we bought house.
It does not work - actually i lie. If you turn the tap water comes out so I suppose technically it *works* - the problem lies in the structure of the cubicle. The grout has come out in the tiles within the cubicle but this has not been rectified it has been ignored (much like every other problem) and the water from the shower has then merrily splashed into the gaps and down the plasterboard at the back where it has saturated the walls and then underneath the shower tray. On moving in Sam had to rip out the rotten plasterboard because it smelt BAD. The shower tray was filthy, the door was vomit making and the mould growing within the cubicle was probably a cure for cancer or at least a new form of penicillin.
So as soon as Sam put down his roller from painting the hall i crack the whip and send him into the en suite. He has now ripped all the tiles off the walls and also removed the shower door and tray.
Wall tiles purchased (Wickes 33% off tiles plus a 20% discount code :)!!), New shower door purchased (B+Q 50% off sale) and Toilet, Sink and Shower Tray (15% voucher at Focus).
