Ensuite - not as simple as it looked !

Oh the joy of rennovating :)

Sam ripped all the tiles off, ripped up the laminate removed shower door, old tray e.t.c.

BIG problem - where the water has been merrily splashing behind the tiles it has not only rotted the plasterboard but also the floor boards underneath the shower.

So floor boards had to be removed - this was very easy as they were totally sodden so just crumbled when touched !

Sam then has to go out and buy new boarding, cut it to size and install it whilst also installing some extra cross joists under the floor for a bit of extra support.

Then skirting has to be removed because that too has been a thirsty sod and drank all the excess water leaving all the wood looking rather sponge like.

So new floorboards in, new skirting in - with amazingly perfect joints at the corners !, Frame built for new shower tray and tray cemented on top of this.

New shower (was £300 but we got it for £70 - went to MFI on the last day of trading and there was just an empty warehouse with the odd item fixed to the wall, we were told we could have the shower if we could get it off the wall, so Sam ripped it off and we made a massive saving !!, was attached to plasterboard so no damage to shower!!) is installed and ready to go.

This is rapidly moving from House TART to house RENNOVATION !
